After the successful success of my previous tie bag (available in my etsy store) I decided to make another one all for me! I had this skirt which I bought at a jumble sale because I loved the kalidescopic/Op Art fabric: Because of the shape and the limited amount of fabric I decided that the best way to use it might be as a bag. Then I had some fun, bright flowery 60's fabric from Fabric Land so I decided that the juxtaposition of bright and monochrome would be good; and I ended up with this: Hey Mr. Lizard! Hey Mr. Cat! I've had the retro / Cadillac car tie for a while and have been desperate to use it, I quite liked the semi-mismatched patterns so I decided this was the project for the tie! The bag is reversible, so that I can be either colourful or a bit less colourful. Oh hai earthlings! Here I am, I haven't left you. I was made redundant from my 'real job', so I have been spending some time hiding like a hedgehog. But now I am back and I am here to say that you can now buy the lovely Hexopus of my Mind in several new colourways! And the colourways would be: orange, green and metallic purple! Orange you glad? Ello Poppets, I've been making band t-shirts again! I wanted a Riff Randells t-shirt, a stripey Riff Randells t-shirt, because on the cover of the first record I bought by them they are all wearing stripey t-shirts, see? So rad it should be a crime I had the iron-on letters leftover from another project and the red fabric is part of an old t-shirt. I just ironed the letters on, drew around them in the shape I fancied, cut that out and appliquéd it on. And then I made another one: Two very different bands, two very similar shirts. I had originally wanted the shape to be an explosion , inspired by Roy Lichtenstein but then I decided that clouds are nicer and just as pop-arty. And that's all I have to say about this except that now I have 2 new favourite t-shirts (3 if you count the extra one I kept plain). I am pretty crazy bout stripes y'all!
