I made a leopard thang. I used vintage Simplicity pattern 2362 and adjusted the size / length / sleeves - I bought it in a size U.S. 14 which turned out around 4 sizes too big, dang. It is also meant for non-stretch fabrics so I had to use some artistic licence with the pattern. I went for a contrasting black collar because I thought it classied up the leopard and made more of a statement. I got the leopard jersey about a year ago from John Lewis and the black was an old t-shirt. Giggity. The Little Blog Of Craft was brought to you today by the letters The Distillers, Spinnerette, International Twin mixes and the number bad posing in my bedroom.

In case you are not an avid reader, I am part of a crafting group called 'The Westbourne Craft Collective'. The last couple of months we've been working on a huge collaberative project for the Parkstone Gardener's Spring Flower Show, and this [above] is the finished piece(s)! My contributions were the catkins (upper left corner) framed bees and Bleeding Hearts (mid right). The background canvas features vintage postcard prints of the Parkstone area. I think it turned out super awesome, everyone's contributions were top-notch! Everyone in the group (and in life) has different talents and strong points and it's so fabtastic to see all the different styles and textures of craft all living together in harmony in one big hit, POW! Hey sportsfans, This weekend I have been working on thingys for our stall at Rumble In The Jumble. First I made bunting: Which I was particularly proud of! I used scraps of various fabrics, bias tape and felt lettering. I more or less just followed this tutorial I found on Folksy. Secondly, a ladyburg coaster / hanging thingy: Lady Chris De Burg (This was mostly my sister's handiwork and I finished it off with the fancyness around the edge) Thirdly a tattooed handbag: Don't tie me down If you have eagle eyes, or just really good human eyes, you might be able to see that the strap is a neck tie! This is a bag that says 'don't mess with me', but also has pretty birds and flowers for when you are visiting your mum.
