I'm really excited to share my next children's workshop to be held at the New Forest Arts Centre in August - crafts inspired by the film Ron's Gone Wrong!   This is a whole day event where participants can make crafts with me and one other artists plus watch the film 'Ron's Gone Wrong' itself. It's going to be a whole lot of awesome fun! This year my fellow art tutor and friend  Jeannie Brunskill  started a new after school art club at  The Reef , Colehill and she kindly asked me to help her out with running the classes. Little Indie  is a not-for-profit organisation and runs on a Monday afternoon from 3:30 - 5pm for children 5 - 10 years of age. Little Indie at The Reef, Colehill We've now broken up for half term, but I really wanted to share some of the incredible projects that we've been working on this year because they're so creative and brilliant! Photo by Jeannie Brunskill This week the children finished off their 'Inside Out' houses, for which they designed, drew and coloured in a picture of their dream house! Last week I had the chance to decorate a couple of  cajón s for the current exhibition at  Walford Mill Crafts . I was allowed to do anything I wanted, but I only had a week or so to come up with ideas and finish them off, so big projects were out and considering this I came up with a theme using what I now consider my 'signature colour pallet' and some materials that I already had available. This was the cojons to start with: Pretty darn boring. I gave them a sand with sandpaper to tidy them up a bit and then painted them with a bit of leftover paint... and I had a little helper too! Despite this futile attempt to sabotage me I finished the painting: They only had to be painted on three sides as the other two sides are for banging and making noise.
